SAGE (RUBBED)

Description

Dried sage is stronger and more flavorful than fresh sage and is delicious with strong veal, seafood, sausage, and pork dishes. Add our rubbed sage sparingly to salads, teas, and vegetables to create a unique twist.  Works great with meats, stuffing and pork dishes. The odor of dried sage leaves is highly aromatic and fragrant and will add a wonderful, warm flavor to your meals.

Sage is frequently used in Mediterranean recipes. It’s a great fit for sausages, poultry, pork, beef, lamb, and fish dishes. Rubbed sage is especially popular during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, when it is featured prominently in turkey and stuffing recipes.

Sage is part of the mint family. It is grown in the United States but originally comes from an evergreen shrub in Albania.  The gray/green leaves have a soft, light texture when rubbed. Rubbed sage has a more fluffy texture as compared to ground sage. It has a less concentrated flavor and provides the perfect amount of flavor for your Thanksgiving dishes.
